Doubt, Transparency and Responsibility

I’ve been thinking a lot about how so many of us go through times of doubt. Sometimes to the point of even doubting God’s existence. As Jesus said, blessed are those of us who believe even though we “haven’t seen”, but sometimes I’ll admit that not seeing can make believing very hard.

I’ve been hesitant about admitting my doubts, though, largely because I don’t want to encourage others to doubt as well. The trouble with this approach, though, is that it also means that I get to doubt in isolation, without any support.

So what do you think? Is it good to be transparent about doubt? Or is there a “time and a place” to express doubt properly?
